We work with our customers to keep energy bills as low as possible and to reduce its carbon footprint to a minimum. DAL installs the latest technologies which have energy efficiency central to their design. Add to this the imminent arrival of carbon taxes; it is in every company’s interest to keep their emissions to a minimum.
When designing new systems we strive to ensure equipment is used to its full potential and is not in operation when not required. Our control systems are designed to save on energy costs without affecting performance.
DAL uses the latest in thermal imaging technology and software to help identify any potential weaknesses in your sites environment. This advanced software can identify areas of “heat leaks”. No matter how efficient and modern your equipment is, you are fighting a losing battle if there are weaknesses in your building. This can come from poorly insulated walls and ceilings, windows which are susceptible to draughts and other areas of weakness.
There are always new regulations being enacting by governmental bodies. F-gas regulations and the imminent ban on R-22 are just some of the latest changes that need to be addressed by installers and users alike. R-22 gas is due to be phased out from the beginning of 2010. Not only are you following the new regulations, but replacing R-22 can improve your systems efficiency. R-22 FAQs, click here.
BER(Building Energy Rating)
A BER is an objective scale of comparison for the energy performance of a building ranging from A1 to G. A-rated buildings are the most energy efficient and G the least efficient. It is required that every landlord, both commercial and residential, must have a BER cert. This is also building true for building owners wishing to sell a property.
DAL can carry out building surveys to establish were heat loss is occurring within a building using our state of the art Thermacam. With each survey a full report including infrared imaging will be supplied, instructing customers on what steps to take to reduce energy costs, save time and reduce the annual energy cost.
