Burlington Road is situated in one of Ireland most vibrant office locations. This two block office building was completed in 2009 and houses many leading national and international companies. DAL chose to use Aermec products for the fit out using three “Free Cooling” Cooling Towers and five “Free Cooling” air cooled chillers to meet the needs of the development.
The project operates in two phases. When the outside ambient air is 
suitable to meet the base load cooling requirements of the building, three Aermec 833Kw ‘Free Cooling’ Cooling Towers are in operation. These cooling towers supply water to a chilled beam ceiling which in turn cools the environment.
The project also has three 573Kw “Free Cooling” air cooled chillers for Block 1 and two 360Kw “Free Cooling” air cooled chillers units in Block 2. These units have a Energy Efficiency Rating, EER, on design day of just under 5. This makes the building extremely energy efficient providing significant cost savings for the end user.
